Interface Engineering Set to Transition
into Seattle
 Interface
Engineering’s Washington office has been
in operation for nearly twenty years. Established
in Bothell in 1988, the branch is now located
in Kirkland. Interface has developed an extensive
client base in Washington over the years, including
many clients in Seattle’s downtown core.
Part of Interface’s long term plan was to
make the move from Kirkland to a Seattle office,
and now the time is right. With great excitement
throughout the firm, the new Seattle office recently
opened with Principal Phil
Michaels at the helm and a small design staff.
The Kirkland office will remain open until late
2008. “It has become apparent that locating
ourselves closer to our clients will be beneficial
for certain faster pace projects and to those
who need us to be available on quick notice,”
says Michaels. Managing Principal, Nick
Rich, is looking forward to the rest of the
Kirkland staff gradually making the transition
into a permanent downtown office. “We’ve
always wanted to be part of the urban fabric of
Downtown Seattle,” comments Rich.
